Cameo T. Harris

“My passion is my craft” and “Broken wing healer” are two phrases which can begin to explain Cameo. She entered the field of mental health approximately 29 years ago as a mental health tech while attending Norfolk State University (‘98/’02). After completing her education, she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to train alongside subject matter experts in all genres of social work. Such opportunities allowed her to hone herself as a powerful tool for change. Cameo believes change to be a birthing process which will take it seeker on a journey. Along the pathway one will experience moments of hope, affirmation, jubilation, and defeat. She however encourages her clients to remain consistent in the process until they accomplish their ultimate goal of having continuity in their ideal self and lived experience. She believes that being welcome into someone’s life and to walk alongside them during their personal storms of life is an honor. She also believes that being trusted to assist them with creating a lighted pathway to health is a privilege. Understanding the task of changing is no small feat. She cited her greatest weakness in helping is her struggle to balance her hope and desires for change with that of her client’s desire to change.

Tina Washington, COO/Co-Founder

Tina L. Washington is a graduate from the School of Human Ecology at East Carolina University (ECU).  During her years at ECU, Tina completed an undergraduate degree in Child Development and Family Relations with concentrations in Social Work and Health.  Tina did not stop there and continued her education and received a Masters degree in Human Services from Capella University.  For a brief moment Tina paused from school to under go training within her fields of study and then completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Tina believes that everyone has hidden strengths to overcome any and all obstacles life may throw at them.  As a psychologist she realizes that some have the ability to access their own strengths and others need a little help realizing their strengths.  Counseling gives Tina the opportunity to show each person she serves the opportunity to see they have the power to change how they feel.  Her number one goal is to help them strategically plan to learn who they are and understand why they maybe feeling the way they feel.  Tina also strives to teach each client to think positive thoughts and to make healthy choices and decisions for their lives.  Tina is a firm believer that if given the chance anyone can commit to self-exploration, self growth, and an ultimate change that leads to desired positive outcomes in their life and in their relationships with others.
